To grade it on the independent scale would mean a perfect score, because there's basically nothing more that could have been added to this film.

The creator of this film, Ryan Harper, knows what he's doing.

There's a fair level of intelligence to the script that I don't see in this line of work.

So rarely do we see beautiful, original and well-produced work in the "horror" genre (although this could also be fantasy or drama)... thanks for the breath of fresh air.

Harper trusts the audience to not need spoon-feeding and this is an approach that I thoroughly appreciate.

Both Koltz and Delarosa do a great job of really bringing their characters to life as they navigate their way through the genuinely dreamlike world that writer/director Ryan Harper has created. And it’s these performances that really hold the film together.

The film progresses at a very steady pace and, instead of falling back on familiar genre tropes, relies on the performances from both the lead characters to draw you into their world and to keep you hooked. And they are very strong performances indeed.

This is probably the most idiosyncratic vision of an afterlife I have seen filmed, which is very much to the films credit. Circulation is a genuinely original film and one that really does reward repeated viewings.

Circulation was directed by Ryan Harper and is a very bizarre, yet extremely original movie that is more of an experience to behold than anything.

For a noticeably small budget, this film has a far better look to it that most at this level do but the Mexican scenery isn’t only part of the visual charm of this film because the trippy dream sequences of Gene and Ana are just as breathtaking.

The scenes with Ana and Gene work extremely well, Ana doesn’t speak English and Gene doesn’t speak Spanish so the two of them have to find compromises in their communication.

I don’t know of a movie that has a plot like this and kudos to Mr. Harper for bringing us something completely new to chew on, this was a welcome relief from all of the garbage that passes as “cinema” these days.

A lot of the appeal of the film is how nicely Harper lets the film reveal itself.

The film has a lot going for it in a lot of other ways, too, including really gorgeous cinematography.

Bloodtype Online

The movie works exceptionally well.

This all all helped along by some solid acting performances, especially Sherman Koltz as Gene and Yvonne DeLaRosa as Ana who spend a lot of onscreen time together, even though in the movie they cannot understand what each other is saying.

The movie is very nicely shot, with plenty of beautiful shots of the Mexican scenery all crisply captured and some assured camera work.

Circulation was an intelligent and quite original movie that will make you think as you are watching it.

Harper makes no real reliance on cliché and rehashed elements to provide a motion for his story, which makes “Circulation” rather admirable and ambitious.

Harper strives for originality, and boy does he pull it off with flying colors.

Film Fanaddict!

Newcomer Ryan Harper alays keeps sleek production values forefront, boasting strong performances beyong its lyrical, atmospheric, smooth-paced plot.

Those looking for something uncommercial will probably enjoy Circulation best since it never differs frm marching to the beat of it's own drum.

Film Apocolpse

I was amazed with the quality of the filming and surprised to find out that Circulation was the director's first foray into filmmaking!

All of the actors were wonderful and that usually means, not only that the actors talented, but also that the director did a really good job.

If Ryan Harper decides to continue making films, I'm very curious to see what he comes up with next as this will be a tough film to follow!
