Ryan Harper – Writer, Director, Producer
Circulation is Ryan Harper’s feature film debut. Like most people, his path in life has not been a straight line. Although creative writing has been a hobby of Ryan’s since high school, he decided to major in Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. His work at both UCB and UCSF was acknowledged by an authorship on three journal articles in highly regarded scientific journals. During this time Ryan continued to write creatively. While teaching and directing the Biotechnology Program at a Bay Area Jr. college, he wrote the screen play for Circulation. After being rejected by several studios, Ryan determined that the only way to see his screen play become an actual movie was to started his own production company, Salty Dog Studios, and produce the film himself. He continued to adjust the script as he taught himself the technical and artistic aspects of film making. To prepare him for making his first feature, Ryan wrote, directed, and produced several shows for a local public access station. In November, 2007 he traveled to San Felipe with his cast and crew to make his script into a movie.
Yvonne DeLaRosa – Ana
Delarosa began studying theater at age 5, graduated from Hollywood Performing Arts High and received her B.A. degree in directing from UCLA's film school as well as just recently earning her Masters degree in screen writing from UCLA. Jimmy Smits heralded her as part of "the new wave of Latino artists" when she was awarded the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts Scholarship by Esai Morales, Jimmy Smits, and Sonja Braga. Since her breakout role in Senor White, DeLaRosa has starred in several feature films including Helter Skelter, Desolation Canyon, Blue Sombrero and Benny Bliss & The Disciples of Greatness. Yvonne has also been heating up the small screen, guest leading and guest-starring in The King of Queens, Weeds, Shark, Crossing Jordan, CSI Miami, The Closer, Navy NCIS, Strong Medicine, Mystery Woman, Judging Amy, NYPD Blue and recently just landed a starring role in the 2007 pilot Family of the Year on ABC.
Sherman Koltz – Gene
From a very young age Koltz was bitten by the acting bug. In 1970 he attended acting classes in New York, but it took 15 years for that experience to manifest itself into actual acting jobs. Koltz moved from New York to San Francisco and became involved in several independent film and theater project including Writing on the Wall, Bettina in the Fog, Jinz, Surviving Paradise, Guide to Choas, Bust a Shalom, and the Bird-o-Bot.

Paul Nordin - DP
Following a varied and accomplished past and prior to 1995 (including Dot.com/bomb survivor, Silicon Valley executive, and outdoor adventure/photographer), Paul has taken a lifetime passion for filmmaking and directed it into both a professional creative career as a Director of Photography. With his passion for capturing and manipulating image, Paul has married a formal background in photography/film, with 12 years of video & editing work on live music performances, industrials, music video, and feature film work both as director and cinematographer. As a Director of Photography for the last 8 years, Paul has amassed a large body of creative and commercial work including 8 feature films in the San Francisco Bay Area & LA independent film communities, where he fiercely pursues & expands his craft and art of cinematography and telling stories with image.
Jason Mitchell - Editor, Producer
Mitchell has 13+ years of experience in production and post production. He started out his career studying acting at Carnegie Mellon. Shortly after, he moved behind the camera when he joined the Navy as a broadcast journalist shooting all over Asia. After seven years of ascending quickly through the ranks, he left the Navy and moved to San Francisco. He worked as the Director of Production for a streaming media company where he launched a package of live and posted streaming media programming. Mitchell’s more recent work has focused on narrative films as a Director, Cinematographer and/or Editor. Notable projects include the short films Indiscreet (2006, DP-Editor) and Filter http://filterfilm.blogspot.com/ (2006, Director-Editor) and the festival favorite feature film The Sex Movie http://www.thesexmovie.com/ (2005, Editor). He also enjoys a long-standing relationship with documentary filmmaker Mark Brecke including producing and editing They Turned Our Desert Into Fire http://www.desertintofire.com/ (2007) a feature documentary focusing on the crisis in Darfur.
Natasa Prosenc – Dream Designer
Slovenian-born filmmaker and artist Natasa Prosenc creates in the fields of fiction film, documentary and video art / video installations. She has directed 6 short films, many documentaries and a feature film, Souvenir http://www.kanalyapictures.com/director.htm. Natasa worked also for Slovenian State TV as a writer/director of different cultural programs and for the Slovenian CNN branch. Natasa graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. During her art studies, she became interested in moving images and began making video pieces and short films. In the 1990s her projects started to appear in festivals, and to win awards and grants. In 1997, Prosenc traveled to Los Angeles on a Fulbright Scholarship to study at CalArts, where she got her MFA in film and video. She has lived in Los Angeles since then, with frequent festivals and shows in the U.S., Slovenia and abroad.
Michael Mouracade – Composer
Raised in Texas and transplanted to the San Fernando Valley, composer Michael Mouracade adapts a wide range of musical technique for "Circulation" including electronic, avant-jazz, Meso-American, aleatory, and 20th century experimental chamber music to contribute to the film's otherworldliness and surreal vision.
Rafael Manriquez - Source Music
Rafael Manríquez has been one of the leading exponents of Latin American music in the San Francisco Bay Area for over twenty years. Originally from Santiago, Chile, Rafael brings us the gift of both his exquisite voice and remarkable skill on Latin American string instruments, ranging from the guitar to the charango to the cuatro and tiple. Rafael is a passionate and well-loved composer and performer. Through his music, he reveals the richness of Latin folk rhythms influenced by the Spanish, Native American and African cultures. His lyrics reflect the struggles and hopes of the people of this continent. He has performed throughout the Americas and Europe. His music has been recorded on over ten albums.
Stacey Ransom - Title Designer
Ransom has 15+ years of experience in film and photography and has produced various short films and other commercial projects for her company Purebred Productions. Prior to forming Purebred Productions with Jason Mitchell, she was the Creative Director with Columbia Sportswear where she was responsible for all brand marketing and the management of an operating budget of 1.4 million dollars. She has also worked as a Design Principal with the international branding firm VIA and as the Senior Designer with Limited Stores creating all in-store marketing & direct mail design.
